# Outlook mail

> Send, search and read email from your Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com address, and see each contact's recent emails.

When you connect Outlook mail, your flows and Wingy can send emails from your own Outlook address, and search and
read your mail. Each contact's recent emails show on their page in WingUp.

## Adding the connection

**1. Open Connections**

In the WingUp app, go to **Connections** and open **Outlook mail**.

**2. Connect**

Press **Connect**. Pick the business's Microsoft account, and press **Accept**.

**3. Choose which emails to show**

Back in WingUp, choose which emails show on contact pages: the inbox of the last 14 days (the default), the
Focused inbox of the last 30 days, flagged emails only, or none.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **"Need admin approval"?** In a company account, the IT admin may have to approve new apps. Ask your admin to
> approve **WingUp**, then connect again.

## What WingUp can see and do

* **Keeps** only the subject, the sender and a short preview of the emails you chose to show.
* **Reads a whole email** only when you, a flow or Wingy ask for it, and does not store it.
* **Sends** only the emails you or your flows send.

Permissions WingUp asks for: `Mail.Send`, `Mail.Read` (plus your name and email to show which account is
connected).

## Removing the connection

* **In WingUp:** **Connections** → **Outlook mail** → **Disconnect**. WingUp deletes its tokens at once.
* **In Microsoft:** you can also remove WingUp from your account's app permissions
  ([myapps.microsoft.com](https://myapps.microsoft.com) for work accounts,
  [account.live.com/consent/Manage](https://account.live.com/consent/Manage) for personal accounts).
